Though He Stumbles
Psalms 37:23 “If the LORD delights in a man’s way, he makes his steps firm;
(37:24) though he stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with his hand.”
To stumble is best explained as to almost fall. Stumbling is the critical start of a fall. While stumbling you lose balance and position and get desperate for rescue. Stumbling can cause injury. We stumble as we run and walk. We stumble in our decisions. We stumble in our spiritual lives. We stumble in our social lives. We stumble financially. The word of God says that though he stumbles he will not fall.
The word of God today tells us that, if we please God, He ensures that our steps in life are firm and secure. While others stumble, we walk and run safely. While everyone around us is falling, we may stumble, but not fall. Our walk is secured and insured by God. Though we stumble, we will not fall!
The reason we don’t stumble is because the LORD upholds us with His hand. We are the worst managers in the fray but we don’t stumble in our management because of God’s hand supporting us. In our stupidity in all we do, God in Mercy upholds us and we don’t stumble, and if we do, we don’t fall. We have nothing outstanding to keep us afloat in our work place, in our businesses, in our relationships, in our studies, in all we do yet other are sinking and failing and falling. Our survival is because of God’s hand. He has ensured that though we stumble, we don’t fall.
We stumble for many reasons. The enemy causes us to stumble. We make poor decisions and we stumble. Whatever reasons cause us to stumble, God ensures we don’t fall. When we please God by choosing to relate with Him, we will stumble but we won’t fall. Stumbling is normal. Don’t despair when you stumble. Have God in your life, call on God always, and though you stumble, you won’t fall.
May this promise come true today, that though I stumble, I will not fall, in Jesus name. Amen! (C)email@example.com (do not delete any part of this post, including this. You are free to share these posts but don’t edit the authorship or content… thank you and be blessed!)
